Built to put Utah subcontractors in front of the right person, faster
PermitMiner is a St. George, Utah company. We build tools that compress the time between a building permit posting and a subcontractor reaching the builder behind it.
The problem we solve
The permit is public. The right contact is not.
Building permits are public records, and there is no shortage of ways to find them. The problem Utah subcontractors face is not access to permits. It is that the permit tells you what was filed, not who to call.
The contractor of record is often a holding company. The email in the county system is whatever was on the license when the company was formed, sometimes years ago. An estimator doing manual research spends 20 to 40 minutes per permit just finding a working address before they can send a single intro.
At 10 qualifying permits per day, that is three to seven hours of contact research before any outreach has happened. Most subcontractors give up before that, which means they compete only with the GCs who already know them, not the full market.
PermitMiner does that research for you. We verify the contact, score the confidence, and deliver both the permit and the right address together. The sub reviews the lead, sends the intro, and puts their energy into the conversations that follow.
What makes us different
Four things legacy permit-data services do not do
The raw permit is available from county portals. PermitMiner builds the layer that turns it into a lead you can act on the same day.
Contacts that actually reach the builder
A verified business contact for the builder behind each permit, not an outdated owner address. We gather it from official listings and public records and score it by confidence, so you have something you can actually use.
Data pulled direct from the source
We do not buy from a national reseller and mark it up. Permits come straight from the city's public permit system, which means you see them the same day they post, not a week later in a batched feed.
Depth before breadth
We cover all 29 Utah counties statewide, applying the same data-quality standard everywhere. Additional states come after Utah.
Outreach that runs from your own inbox
Gmail outreach automation is built and coming. When it launches on the Outreach plan, intros will go from your Gmail address via OAuth, not from a shared sending domain. Replies come straight back to you.
Where we are from
St. George, Utah
PermitMiner LLC is based in St. George, Utah, one of the fastest-growing construction markets in the state. Washington County is a useful place to build a permit-data product: high construction volume, an accessible GC community, and the ability to test our data against what is actually breaking ground.
We built PermitMiner to solve a pattern we saw repeated in this market: subcontractors who are doing good work and competing on price, but losing bids because they heard about the job too late or sent their intro to the wrong inbox.
Utah is our first and deepest market, live in all 29 counties, applying the same data-quality standard everywhere, because a framing sub in Salt Lake faces the same contact problem as one in St. George.
